PennyRoyalty is a cloud-based royalty accounting platform designed for music publishers, labels, and artists. It helps manage music catalogs, writer splits, royalty imports, and payments — all in one place.

Royalty data must be provided in our standard CSV format. You can optionally include “Income Type” and “Country” columns in the CSV, or select these values from dropdowns on the Royalties Upload page.

Royalties are calculated using Net Earnings, Writer Share, and Deal Split. If needed, we apply currency exchange rates with high precision for accuracy.

Yes. After processing royalties, you can generate and email branded PDF statements to each writer using your customized templates. To do this, simply provide their email address on the Writers page. Email addresses can also be added in bulk from that page.

Absolutely, and we recommend it for new users. You can upload a CSV of writer balances to initialize your system with accurate starting amounts for each writer.

Unmatched tracks will be shown on the preview screen before upload confirmation. You’ll have the opportunity to assign the correct ISRC or Track Title manually.

At this time, direct payments to writers are not supported within the platform. However, you can download a CSV file that can be uploaded to PayPal to help automate your payments.
